hi there, i'm using tbdev fom CVS.

i'm in the following situation: i have normal active (connectable) users and some unconnectables (natted).
the problem is that most of the unconnectables com from a private natted LAN (widespread fiber optic connections in a private lan) so their extrenal ip is different from the internal one.
But those unconnectables are perfectly connectable inside their lan (using their internal ip).

So my questions are:

How can i make the tracker identify those users as *connectable* so they can still try to estabilish a connection between them (but i don't want this change to affect the db -- i.e. i want them to be listed as unconnectable) ?

Obviously those ppl are identified on the tracker with their external ip. is this a problem or the connection between them would estabilish with no problem?

I know it seems a nonsense, but try to understand. ;)

thanks for replies

Ya dun't
it's an issue that they have to fix.

Use PortForwarding
and different ports for every computer in the local lan.

they are unconnectable, cuz the router dunno who to send the torrent to.

it's not a matter of port-forwarding.
yes, it's a local one but it's a HUGE one, thousands of people (dunno if you know Fastweb).
and yes, they are unconnectable 'cos the router doesn't forward the packets
but no chance to forward ports or to work on routers.

they are not "truly" unconnectable, only with the outside, the internet world.
so i would find a way to make them connect each others at least..

thanks ;)
