i think its best to just follow the steps through shell, using your sftp.

if you follow the guides step by step, its hard to go wrong.

and 99% of the time, someone else has run into the problem before you and posted about it and had it fixed on a site that can be searched and found through google.

wget is used to get programs, so you don't need ftp or sftp

wget

but if you've already got the zips in the correct folders with sftp, you can start unzipping and compiling.

why i would be getting the wget problem

And you are root on a server? scary
The error it gives is quite straight to the point, how does wget know what to get if you don't give any input?

yeh i worked that out by myself i was just being stupid and mock me if you want to but having root access to a server and never doing it before is quite a daunting task

i mean to be honest i kinda assumed when i got the server that there would be the basics install, and moxie set my "base url" (probally the best way to describe it) wrong

In deed we do have managed support packages that come with 30days support random.

We can not do webmin installs due to many clients like custom config's and it requires them to remove what ever we add.

We will be offering boxes that have plesk preinstalled in the near future to make it easy for anyone to run a any time of website.

Feel free to contact us if you require any more help
